AOC Mission

The mission of Arkansas One-Call is the protection of the public and the prevention of damage resulting from accidents involving underground facilities.

What is AOC?

Arkansas One Call is the state-wide call before you dig center. AOC allows excavators of all types to notify multiple utilites of their intent to excavate with a single submission of a locate request, which can be done either by phone or online.

AOC Goals

  • To provide the best possible notification service at the lowest cost to an underground facility operator in the state of Arkansas.
  • To aggressively promote through advertising and all other possible means, the practice of "call before you dig" among excavators because advance notice remains the single most productive step which can be taken to prevent damage.
  • To conduct education and training programs for companies, organizations and individuals involved in the excavation business, particularly focusing on those with a record of repeated damage and/or violations of the law.
  • To promote improved communications and coordination between utilities, excavators, governmental agencies, contract locators, and all others involved in the excavation and damage prevention processes.
  • To promote the use of technology on the One-Call Center and among its constituencies which can help implement these programs more efficiently and effectively.
