Marking Standards

Color Codes

All owners of underground facilities (lines, cable, pipe, etc.) must use the following color code when marking their facilities:

Red
Yellow
Orange
Blue
Green
Purple
Pink
White
electric power lines, cables, conduit & lighting cables
gas, oil, steam, petroleum & gaseous materials
communications, alarm, cable TV, signal lines, cables & conduit
potable water
sewers & drain lines
reclaimed water, irrigation & slurry lines
temporary survey markers
proposed excavation
