If you use mechanized equipment or explosives to excavate or do demolition work in the state of Arkansas, you are required to give advanced notice to the One-Call Center.
The customer service representative (CSR) will ask for information about the location and the type of work to be done. This information will be entered into a computer system, which will compare the information provided about the location to service area information provided by member utilities. If an overlap between the two occurs, the member utilities will receive a notice of your intent to excavate. The CSR will provide you with a reference number and a list of the member utilities that One-Call will notify. You should note both.
From the date & time you call in a request, unless otherwise agreed to, the notified utilities have 2 working days to mark the work site.
